Mandir tha, hai aur rahega: Yogi Adityanath on Ram temple in Ayodhya

Politics over Lord Ram is back in focus with uttar pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath saying that there is already a Ram temple in Ayodhya and also the government is trying to form it grander. "I come to offer prayers. Mandir tha, hai aur rahega (the temple was there, is there and will continue to be there)," said Adityanath.

"There is already a temple in Ayodhya. the government is working on that to make it a grand one," added the UP CM.

On the occasion of Diwali, Adityanath offered prayers in Ayodhya a day after renaming Faizabad district as Ayodhya. Adityanath confirmed plans to construct a statue of Lord Ram here in Ayodhya.

The Faizabad district contains the twin cities of Faizabad and Ayodhya on the banks of the river Saryu. The district will now be known as Ayodhya, said the saffron-robed chief minister.

Adityanath also said, "All options are open to us but solutions can come amidst the norms of our law and the Constitution. we have a tendency to ar waiting for it."

Speaking to reporters once prayers at Hanuman Garhi temple, Adityanath said he had visited 2 spots being considered to create the Ram sculpture.

Adityanath also announced that a new airport, named after Ram, and a new medical school named after Raja Dashrath (Lord Ram''s father) would be set up in Ayodhya
