Clashes outside Sabarimala temple, 52-year-old woman injured







 A 52-year-old woman was injured after protesting devotees targetted her and other media persons at the Sabarimala temple on Tuesday morning.

Multitudes of protestors gathered and raised slogans near Nadapandal after reports of a woman follower, suspected to be in the menstrual age, tried to enter the temple.

The camera person and the the} driver of a local news channel were also reportedly injured in the attack.

It was later confirmed that the woman, Lalitha from Thrissur, did not belong to 10-50 age group. She, along with her family, were then escorted to a medical centre in Sannidhanam by the police.

She was later allowed to visit the temple under police protection.
